Ode to Joy

In the work Ode to Joy, the artist works with her family to digest the theme of an ongoing narrative: the dreams of a better future in Croatia, the former socialist country in transit grasping with the demands of capitalism. Through the prism of the selling of a piece of land, we see the complexity of intergenerational relations within a family bound by financial dependency.
